I really enjoy making hand-cut and carved collages and also like drawing in them. This time I decided to create an image with a limited number of resources and colors. I share this collage with you and also show, if you swipe, how I made a preliminary study sketch. From a substantive point of view, during this period I delved into the theme of the parable of the sower. This collage later led to a larger collage on a light box: The Parable Of The Sower XIII, series 14, 2020, h 50 cm x w 37,5 cm (h 19.7 in x w 14.8 in), collage of adhesive film on drawing polyester on lightbox.

I really enjoy making collages. I often make them in a small size so that you can easily make them on a table. Working on a small, table format also gives a lot of freedom to try out different techniques and work with various materials. I also find it a challenge to see whether you can push boundaries or conduct research on, for example, concepts of aesthetics. How do you know when a work is finished and, is that a worthwhile pursuit?
How personal do I want to make my work? Do I strive for something new and unique to surprise myself again?
In terms of content, during this period I was busy completing a series of fourteen large collage works made of adhesive film on drawing polyester on light box with the title Parable of the Sower.
